Carbon Friendly Solutions Inc., through its subsidiaries, is focused on the development of energy-efficiency technology, renewable energy, and reforestation projects that have the potential to generate significant revenue while simultaneously creating environmental benefits.
Message from CEO
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Carbon Friendly Solutions ("CFS" or "the Company"), I am pleased to provide this update for the beginning of 2013.
The Company has made continued progress at moving MicroCoal(tm) forward to commercialization of its groundbreaking technology. Two of America's leading coal experts (Steve Sears and Larry Palmer) are working hard to help MicroCoal International Inc. (MCII) advance to have more than one commercial plant completed by end of 2013.
Given potential cost savings for utilities that adopt the MicroCoal technology, many of the world's leading coal utilities are keenly following our progress. We believe that both cost savings and a renewed push in 2013 by the US Environmental Protection Agency, will compel many US utilities to consider the MicroCoal technology because of its potential to reduce sulfur and mercury emissions.
We are not just focused on the US market. We are also finding strong interest in MicroCoal technology in Indonesia, and we are committed to addressing the huge and growing opportunity in Indonesia, which is one of the world's largest coal producers.
However, the Company has two other wholly owned subsidiaries, both of which are advancing in their fields. We expect Global CO2 Reductions Inc. to commence selling of VERs in the first quarter of 2013. As for Carbiopel SA, we are looking to secure major customers in 2013 of its biomass pellets. This, we anticipate, will drive expansion initiatives in order to meet the demand.
Overall, we are looking forward to a fruitful 2013, as we having been spent this past year laying the foundation for our company's long-term success and profitable growth.
